This style of chair is from the Welega province in the western part of Ethiopia. It is carved from a single block of wood. This antique chair displays a deep chocolate colored patina from continual use.

Materials:

• Sustainable wood from the Wanza Tree (Cordia Africana). The Wanza tree is a common plant that grows across the continent of Africa. It can reach 30 meters high and has a distinct crooked trunk.
