FINE ART

Decorative African Fine Art, Masks & Wall Décor

Hemingway African Gallery's Fine Art collection features decorative works made today by artisans across Africa — hand-carved masks, sculpture, and wall art that draw on the continent's rich artistic traditions. Many of these pieces are created by the descendants of the original carvers, referencing classic regional styles while standing as beautiful contemporary art in their own right. Family-owned since 1975 and based in Tribeca, we source every piece directly and ethically. Each piece is photographed individually because each one is the only one. When a piece sells, it comes off the site. Affirm is available at checkout if you'd prefer to pay over time. If you're in New York, come see them in person — we're at 88 Leonard Street in lower Manhattan. From striking masks and beaded animal sculpture to dancing shields and woven baskets, these works bring the artistry of Africa into everyday living.
