Ashanti Stool, Ghana
Drawing on a flexible canon of basic types, the Ashanti of Ghana evolved a wide variety of stools, to which many different meanings are assigned. Many of the stools have saying associated with them. Additionally, each Ashanti king put his name to a new design.
This stool is known as a Mmarima Dwa. Only the make head of the family would have sat on this stool.
