The Bozo are a fishing people on the Niger River. They are known for creating pieces with vivid colors. These masks were worn on the head and used in processions celebrating the river. This mask has some age but was sculpted for decorative purposes.
This mask comes ready with a wire to hang on the wall. Base not included. We can create a custom museum quality base for $80 + shipping.
